JAWAD DOME HOSTS RENOWNED FRENCH ARTISTJawad Dome, Bahrain
Art lovers and collectors in Bahrain had an unprecedented opportunity to experience the brilliance of the figurative and symbolist ART movement in France through the work of renowned French artist, Aimè Venel. Celebrating French Week, Jawad Dome presented the “Paintings Exhibition” from 18 January – 24 January 2017, launched with an opening reception at the La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art, where the paintings were on display for the general public all through the week. H.E. Bernard Regnauld-Fabre, Ambassador of France to Bahrain inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Faisal Jawad, Chairman and CEO of Jawad Business Group, dignitaries, VIPs and media. The exhibition subsequently opened at the Jawad Dome, again launched by the French Ambassador in the presence of the artist and officials supporting the French Week.
A French painter born in 1950, Aimé Venel represents a new definition of elegance in the contemporary figurative arts. Heir to the Great Symbolists of the end of the 19th century, his body of work has been described as luminous. With an impressive background of training and experience he has worked in the studio of Master Edouard MAC'AVOY (1905-1991), student of Bonnard and Vuillard and who worked with Braque. Named one of the "World's Best Artists for the Year 2003" by the World Art Celebrities Journal, Venel’s work stands testament to an outstanding talent. The exhibition presented Art collectors of Bahrain with an exceptional opportunity to purchase and own a world-class piece of art. For all art lovers it was equally an opportunity to experience and enjoy the work of a master.
