Pioneers in the supermarket concept, Jawad opened its first store in 1960 in Manama, bringing to Bahrain a range of unique goods, celebrated brands and fresh, wholesome produce and top quality meat, cheese, deli and bakery products. Since those early days, Jawad Supermarkets have made a name for its consistency and reliability, distinguished always by high standards of quality, friendly and prompt service.

The Jawad Supermarket opened its doors in 1980 to a warm public welcome, becoming Bahrain's first state-of-the-art supermarket. Anticipating market trends and meeting customer demands for new products and services have remained a hallmark for Jawad Supermarkets. In 2001, following extensive market research and customer surveys, the Group successfully introduced a popular, new in-house range of chilled, ready-to-eat meals and salad bars. For over fifty years, JSM has made customers smile!
